Its about 85-90% similar to Layton if im being strict, but i probably wont be buying Layton for a while as this one fills its spot amazingly well. Layton is spicier and fresher in the opening but then they smell almost identical with Layton keeping a bit of some of that spice and freshenss. Detour Noir is still spicy(amber?), but they’ve ramped up the vanilla making it smell a bit sweeter than Layton. If Layton was unisex slightly leaning male this one is a perfectly unisex.
Very very close to Layton, maybe missing a tiny bit of the warmth
Yes, the bottle is an absolute eyesore – even the label is hardly legible. But, looking past that, Détour Noir is a really, really good fragrance.
